Hello Again.

Instead of a gradual changing of the season, this year it's as if someone flipped a switch and now we are in fall, full steam ahead. We've said goodbye to popsicles and flip flops and hello to warm cider and footed pajamas. The temperatures have dropped and we are suiting up to another beautiful, blissful fall.

Soccer started. This had been a dream of mine since Jax was born. It's never what I expect, but it's fun. Check out this field.

This girl will be ready for the women's USA team in no time.

She's got some mad skillz.

Of course, she is not to be outdone by her brother.

And this part is the funniest thing ever. They line all the balls up across the field (of course, OCD Jax tries to organize them by color.....) and they line all the kids up, yell "GO!" and off the kids go in a running of the bulls fashion. It's hilarious.

Earlier this month, Lucy and I took of to the great Midwest...

Lucy was a complete lunatic on the tiny plane...throwing her cheerios on the passengers behind us and pull the hair of the passengers in front of us. It's a good thing she is as cute as she is, or they probably would have kicked her off.

But all is well that ends well, and where there's a Nana and a Boo, there is usually a very interesting dance party at some point.

Dance parties aside, the reason we came up was to welcome the newest cousin to the clan.

Lucy and I had a wonderful and much needed break. It was good to be surrounded by family: sisters, little nieces and the new nephew; but there's nothing quite like coming back home to my own crazy tribe.

And this weekend, we pulled out all the stops for some good old fashioned apple pickin' fun.

The Lubird is a pro.

She walked hand in hand with me, carefully spotting tasty apples and gently chucking them into her plastic bag, which was bigger than she was.

Girlfriend can pull her weight in the apple department.

You won't find a guy with worse travel luck, but he can find a mean four leaf clover. Too bad we don't really need it.

And my lil' Romeo is forever picking me beautiful flowers.

After almost two years, one million dud photos and 5 minutes of daddy doing the crazy dance behind mommy, I finally have a picture with all six eyeballs looking in the same direction. Prepare to see this picture again near Christmas time....probably in the mail.

And as it turns out, I'm not the only photographer in the family. My little artist is becoming quite the budding photographer as well. Jaxon took this picture of Rick and me. Not bad.

The orchard, as always, did not disappoint, and the sky in all it's splendor did it's best to create the perfect backdrop for our perfect day beckoning us to return. And we will.
