Say Yes! to Michigan

About ten years ago, Chicago set up cows statues all over the city and painted them. Ever since then, St. Joe has taken this idea and run with it. And when we run, we run all the way home with it little piggie style, and then we run it into the ground.

so here we have, yes, you see it right, mutant radioactive chickens....

and "utterly" realistic looking cows, (sorry, couldn't help myself) complete with terrifying looking veins-a-bulding

begging to be milked...

and right outside the Mecca of the Joe, Lucy Bird met Lucy Lamb.

See? We are serious about our painted animals, the only thing we are more serious about is perhaps our ice cream. We do that up good.

As if a visit to Kilwin's isn't fun enough, then there's the Carousel, the simple idea of the wheel in it's grandest form and for some reason, going round and round and up and down in a circle listening to weird carny music doesn't get old.....ever. Go figure.

Lucy wasn't too sure about it at first...

but soon the carousel worked it's magic and captivated her too.

Captures the St. Joseph summer perfectly - minus the beach. Great pictures, great kids.
